412 POUND SWORDFISH out of Jupiter Inlet | Full Day Breakdown w/ Captain Chris Holsinger
What started as a missed tournament day turned into one of the most unforgettable swordfish trips we’ve ever been part of.
Fishing out of Jupiter Inlet aboard a Calcutta 263, Captain Chris Holsinger and crew spent the entire day grinding in 1,500–1,600 feet of water with a green crew, no bites… until the final drift lined up perfectly with the moon major.
What followed was a textbook daytime swordfish bite—buoy down for over 20 minutes, a massive jump over 1,000 feet away, and a full end-game battle featuring tight pinwheels, boat control, and multiple harpoon shots.
The result: a 411 POUND swordfish hitting the deck.
